Just aid is not enough at times...people need to come to leave camps and put back to normal lives as sson as possible...I don’t understand why this agenda takes a backseat?

I think the main handicap of UN in places of armed strife is that most of its efforts, resources, and time go to its humanitarian mandate. In the process, it falls into frailty when it comes to the political negotiation and arbitration part.
UN’s frailty in Darfur has been observed. As far as mediating in the problem, it hasn’t really budged forward much. That is why half a million lives have already been lost over a period of 5 years.
It appeases the people with aid and make empty threats to the al-Bashir government in Khartoum.
