Tired after waiting for hours on the platform, an 11-year-old brain tumour patient fell ill at Howrah station during Wednesday’s Citu shutdown. Ironically, it was a Citu ambulance that finally rushed him to hospital.

It’s really sad; during the bandh call given by VHP recently, two people died because they could reach the hospitals in time.

This is the situation everywhere it seems. Not too long ago we had a child die in Shimla who was being rushed for medical attention from the interior areas. Political organizations little care for ’junta’ as long as the act furthers their dirty little ends.
