Nuke can be green. But with related risks and side effects.
But I heard some talks about cold fusion years ago. It uses nuclear fusion rather than conventional fission. But the research still continues and has not been perfected yet.

Immediately what can be done is make efforts to save energy on all fronts. Also make solar power, wind power and small hydel projects(it was shown in’Swades’movie) more popular in villages and communities...
