Bonding with kids has a special healing power. It can be effective if used as a therapy for depressed souls. Holding their small finger and walking around for few minutes can send all the day’s stress away. If patients suffering from loneliness and depression can be sent to playschools or Orphanages to assist the staff there on the weekend, they won’t need anti-depressants pills for long. Such voluntary weekend work should be made complusary in all high stress jobs. Children take their own time to mingle with strangers but once you gain their trust they’ll shower unlimited attention and love. Also sitting down to gain their attention and trust can be a good management lesson in itself. Their hugs and laughter are the best feel good rewards.
Unfortunately children are often looked down upon as pranksters and trouble makers good only for throwing tantrums and can only be tamed with discipline and punishment. Children are supposed to look up to the elders and learn lessons of life. But it is true other way round too...we have much to learn from these little wonders. They don’t let their egos dictate their little souls.Once you win their trust and love it’ll be a very long committed relation. A young man might turn up someday and tell you how he enjoyed his childhood days with you...a small seed of affection will magically transform into a strong big tree which might even offer you shade in your grey days. Next time a little kid tugs at you in the mall don’t look away...or if neighbour’s son asks you to kick the football with him just enjoy a two minute game and catch yourself smiling...

Comforting the children once in a while makes them feel they are loved. It is a sense of security of learning that someone cares and that they are not alone.
For parents, give time to your children. Parenting is not all about material needs. A number of needs have to be looked upon to be called good parents.
